Bhilwara, an industrial city, got its name because it was home to a large number of Bhil people. Peasants, however, drove these Bhils away. Ironically, there are now very few Bhils in Bhilwara. Mandal, 13 kilometres from Bhilwara, is home to the village of Meza, where an irrigation dam on the Kothari River has been built. Boating facilities and a picturesque lake are available at the dam site. These are lovely tourist destinations. One of the must-see attractions is the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple.
