Fort Barmer

The well-known Fort Siwana is perched atop a hill. Veernarayan, a well-known Rajput monarch who once held power over a large portion of Barmer and maintained close links with the Solanki dynasty of Gujarat, erected the fort. Although the fort is not in the finest of shape right now, it still has a lovely pond. Alauddin Khilji’s soldiers overran the fort in 1308. Sutal Deo and his fellow citizens made a valiant defence of the fort while it was under siege by Delhi’s Sultan Alauddin Khilji.

Temples in Kiradu
