Next, admire the Mughal heritage at the Red Fort, then head to Raj Ghat to pay homage at Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial. Transition to New Delhi’s colonial charm by visiting President’s House, India Gate, and the Parliament House, symbols of Indian democracy.
For spiritual seekers, the serene Akshardham Temple and the Lotus Temple are must-visits. If time allows, end your day at Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of India’s finest architectural marvels.

From Delhi, your Golden Triangle trip continues to Agra, home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. Built by Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal, this monument of love leaves every visitor spellbound. The white marble structure shines beautifully at sunrise, sunset, and even under moonlit skies.
Apart from the Taj Mahal, you can also visit the majestic Agra Fort, another UNESCO site, and enjoy the peaceful view of the Taj from Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna River. Agra is also famous for its local handicrafts and sweets like Agra Petha.

Finally, head towards Jaipur, but not before stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar. Once in Jaipur, the Pink City, get ready to experience Rajasthan’s royal grandeur.

Travelers often ask, “When is the best time to plan the Golden Triangle Tour?” The good news is that this circuit can be enjoyed throughout the year, but each season has its own charm. Here’s a quick breakdown to help you decide:
This is the most recommended time to visit the Golden Triangle of India. The weather is cool and comfortable, perfect for sightseeing in Delhi, exploring the Taj Mahal in Agra, or climbing up to the Amber Fort in Jaipur. Winter mornings can be a little foggy, especially in Delhi and Agra, but the clear afternoons make it worth it.
Summer months can get quite hot, especially in Jaipur and Agra, where temperatures often cross 40°C. However, this is also the time when the monuments and markets are less crowded. With an AC car and flexible itinerary, you can still enjoy the trip. Plus, hotels often offer discounted rates during this season.
If you love greenery and don’t mind occasional showers, the monsoon season is a refreshing time for the Delhi-Agra-Jaipur tour. The rain washes away the dust, the gardens around the Taj Mahal look more vibrant, and Jaipur’s forts and hillsides turn lush green. Carry an umbrella and light rainwear, and you’ll find this season surprisingly beautiful.
In short, October to March is the most comfortable time for the Golden Triangle Tour, but with the right planning, you can enjoy this journey in any season of the year.
